Meeting Up!
If there’s just one thing I came away with after Alt Summit, it was the desire to extend my online blogging relationships offline and into real life. After following Sandra’s inspiring real-life salons, I knew I wanted to organize something similar, though on a smaller scale and with my own unique spin. So, after several months of meeting and planning, my very first event for bloggers and creatives was held this Monday night, and I think it was a great success!
I invited local bloggers and women with creative spirits, and six of us enjoyed delicious food, great conversation, and a gorgeous craft led by my lovely friend, Jen, who is a consummate crafter and budding jeweler. It was fun, relaxing, and a great way to stretch our creativity while meeting new friends. Here are some pictures from the evening.
This meetup (which needs a more original name) has been a goal of mine for quite some time, and I’m so thrilled with the results. I’m hoping it will continue and grow to become a regular event!
That looks like so much fun!
It was! I wish you could come!
This looks wonderful!! My favorite is the picture of you having help with crafting. 😉 you look like your 6 year old cute smiling self there. I loved seeing this pic.
Ha! That’s exactly how I felt. I had to run over to her after each part of the craft, so she could fix it and help me with the next step. 🙂
Yay!! I love this!
So glad you could make it!
