Decorating with Chairish

Chairish, the online marketplace for “pre-loved decor,” recently asked me to pick from a selection of brightly colored accent chairs and then design a room around my choice.  While I love devouring design blogs and trying my hand at decorating my own home, I’ve never created a design board for my blog before.  It was a really fun challenge and I had a wonderful time creating this sitting room featuring the Green High Back Tufted Broyhill Chairs.

Chairish is a wonderful source for previously owned furniture and decor, and you can find things in all price ranges.  I let my imagination run wild and found many wonderful pieces for my pretend sitting room.  The chairs are definitely Mid-Century, but they have a bit of a French Country feel too, with the ornately carved details on the sides of each chair.  The gorgeous ivory console table is a perfect place to store books and drinks while relaxing in the room.  I added a lovely floral rug and platinum curtains from West Elm (the only item not carried at Chairish) as the neutral backdrop for the chairs.  The vintage marble side tables pair perfectly with the carved chairs and the pewter table lamps are a nod to the Mid-Century feel of the room.  The velvet pillows help to pull a bit of color from the rug and the mirrors and vases add a bit of shine and elegance to the board, as well.

I wanted something chic and formal with a vintage feel, and I’m really happy with the overall look. This was a really fun project and I enjoyed it so much that I might try another design board soon, just for fun!
