This and That

Walking with Cake: Blooming Hedgehog

(My hedgehog is blooming!)

It’s Friday again, and this week was pretty normal.  We had another “ice” day with no ice, which meant a delayed school start and a cancelled appointment, but the sun is shining and it’s finally warming up!  We celebrated Valentine’s Day early yesterday with parties at the boys’ school and Torchy’s takeout, our normal V-Day dinner.  I find Valentine’s sort of like New Year’s: the hype is more than the actual experience.  Tonight is brew night and we don’t have any big plans this weekend, but I’m sure we’ll enjoy the warmer weather.  Here are some things that caught my eye this week.

Twins, separated at birth and an ocean apart, find each other.

The body of a young boy, born over 12,000 years ago, sheds new light on Native American culture in the United States.

Politicians, Pussy Riot, and Twitter.

You can sleep under the stars in the comfort of your bedroom.

A fascinating post on the history of FDR’s houses (and his female companions).

Bad engagement photos. Really bad.

Olympic memes, always my favorite part of the sporting spectacle.

Post-cancer photographs, at once painful and beautiful to behold.

A glimpse into neighbors’ windows.

Have a wonderful weekend!
