This and That
This week was pretty run-of-the-mill, though we’re all feeling the effects of fall allergies. A cool front moved through last night, and we should have beautiful weather this weekend. Here are some things that caught my eye this week.
It’s impossible to ignore the news these days, and this piece about a Sierra Leone hospital ravaged by the Ebola virus is truly heartbreaking. It puts so many things into perspective.
At the same time, there’s no room for panic. So much of the media seems to encourage it.
Sexual misconduct at an immigration facility in south Texas.
The tragic reality of part-time work in the United States.
A post about the really hard aspects of motherhood.
Because parenthood is really like this.
I’m reading Lena Dunham’s book right now, and this review is pretty accurate. Also, there are illustrations and the font is quite large.
A profile of Chloé’s creative director.
I watched the pilot for “Transparent” and I’m eager to start the rest of the season.
This song is really weird, Sherman, and this one is really pretty.
Have a wonderful weekend!
