Though blogging is my creative outlet, I don’t do a lot of actual creative writing. I thought it might be fun to challenge myself a little with a visual writing prompt using photographs from Death to the Stock Photo<\/a>. \u00a0I chose two pictures from this month’s pack and used them as a jumping off point for this short poem. I’m hoping to try this experiment periodically, and I hope you enjoy this first installment.<\/p>\n

Sitting here<\/p>\n

in the sunlight<\/p>\n

as my friends fill the room,<\/p>\n

I think of days gone by<\/p>\n

like old movies,<\/p>\n

a slow song playing in the background.<\/p>\n

It is warm<\/p>\n

and I am happy,<\/p>\n

the sun shining on my face.<\/p>\n
