After reading this post<\/a> on Wardrobe Oxygen<\/em>, I decided to jump on the jeggings bandwagon!\u00a0 I never thought I’d write that on my blog, and they shall henceforth be known as denim leggings<\/em>, but whatever you want to call them, I think this look will become a fall staple of mine.\u00a0 I must disclose that this photograph is entirely staged and was taken while the boys were napping on a very hot Sunday afternoon recently.\u00a0 Ryan and I were trying out our new camera and tripod, so I appear a bit hesitant while waiting to see if the timer would work.\u00a0 Immediately afterward, I changed back into comfy shorts and a tee, but I am excited to wear this outfit in the coming months.\u00a0 Like November and December.<\/p>\n

I am incredibly impressed with these denim leggings<\/a>, which are the same brand and style that Alison wears in her post.\u00a0 Made by Karen Kane, the leggings feature a wide elastic band at the waist that really helps to smooth everything out and avoid that “muffin-top” look so common among mothers.\u00a0 I am truly pear-shaped and am smaller through my shoulders and torso than my hips, so I balanced the fitted leggings with a loose top, bought from Anthropologie<\/a> several years ago, a very old Banana Republic<\/a> shrug, and two charm necklaces also purchased at Anthropologie in years past.\u00a0 My shoes were a fun find from Ross<\/a>, but I’m planning to update the look with boots<\/a> once the weather turns cool, whenever that might be.<\/p>\n

I’m excited to try this new look and I can’t believe I waited this long to buy a pair of jeggings<\/del> denim leggings!\u00a0 Have you tried anything new or different lately?<\/p>\n
