I’ve had the idea for this post in my head for a while, but I felt silly actually writing it.\u00a0 Then, I saw this piece<\/a> in San Antonio’s local paper, and knew this was my chance.\u00a0 Bloggers reveal so much about our lives on a daily basis, so I thought it would be fun to share a few things I’ve never, ever done.\u00a0 You might be surprised.<\/p>\n

I’ve never had a professional manicure or pedicure.\u00a0 While I don’t always paint my fingers, my toes are always polished.\u00a0 Feet kind of gross me out, so I could never let someone else give me a pedicure.\u00a0 I do my own every two weeks or so, even when I was hugely pregnant, and they look just fine.<\/p>\n

I’ve never been to Disneyland or Disney World.\u00a0 I never went as a child, and Ryan isn’t a fan of Disney; plus, I’m scared of roller coasters.\u00a0 No big deal.\u00a0 I used to teach at a learning center, and when my students had to write a “Compare and Contrast” paper, so many of them always compared and contrasted the two parks.\u00a0 I read a ton of those papers, so I got the inside scoop.\u00a0 Disney World is bigger.<\/p>\n

Even though I’m a native Texan, I’ve never owned a pair of boots (if you don’t count the square-toe kind with zippers from back in 2002), and I’ve never been out dancing.\u00a0 I mean, I’ve been to weddings where people two-step, but I have no clue how to do it.<\/p>\n

I helped my younger sister learn to roller skate on the sidewalk in front of our house, but I never learned myself.\u00a0 Which means I can’t ice skate, either.\u00a0 Obviously, I was not the life of the party back in junior high when my friends hung out at Skateland.<\/p>\n

My high school football team was kind of a big deal when I was in school, but I never, ever, never went to a single football game during my entire four years there.\u00a0 It was a source of pride for me.<\/p>\n

I’ve never been tubing down the Guadalupe River, which is a favorite past-time of Texans.\u00a0 I’m not the outdoorsy type, plus it’s hot, so I just don’t get floating down a river in a plastic tube when you could be in air-conditioning.<\/p>\n

So, now that I’ve bared my soul and revealed my shortcomings, what are some things you’ve never done?<\/p>\n
