\"The<\/a>I realized this week that Shayla and I have been working on this collaboration for four months now, and we are still going strong!\u00a0 If you would like us to cover different topics, I hope you’ll feel free to suggest them.<\/p>\n

Today’s question is: Have You Met Other Bloggers in Real Life?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you read my blog regularly, then you know my answer is YES!\u00a0 One of the reasons I started blogging was to make connections with other bloggers, and I’ve been fortunate to meet quite a few since last summer.\u00a0 I jumped in with both feet and attended Alt Summit in January, so I got to rub elbows with literally hundreds of other bloggers in real life.\u00a0 I finally got to meet Sandra from Raincoast Creative Salon<\/em><\/a> (formerly Raincoast Cottage<\/em>), who was literally my ticket to the conference.\u00a0 Once she was tapped as a speaker, she sold me her conference ticket and I was on my way!\u00a0 I also ran into Bethany of The Glamorous Housewife<\/em><\/a>, a blogger role model of mine, as well as dozens of other wonderful bloggers.<\/p>\n

Locally, I’ve become friends with Miss Donna of Discount Thief<\/em><\/a> and The Unemployed Entrepreneur<\/a><\/em>, and Lindsay from Black & Blonde<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 Both Donna and Lindsay are fellow Blog Trends members, and when Lindsay was planning a move to Austin, we became Twitter friends and chatted secretly for months.\u00a0 I was thrilled when she finally moved here, and the three of us live close enough to call each other neighbors!\u00a0 Both ladies attended my blogger and creative get-together, and I also invited Tara from Musical Soup Eaters<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 Blogging really makes the world smaller, and I discovered that I actually knew Tara from years ago.<\/p>\n

I’ve also attended a couple of store events at Anthropologie and met a few fellow bloggers there, too.\u00a0 Things have been busy for my family lately, and I’ve been unable to host or attend any events, but I always look forward to meeting new bloggers around town.<\/p>\n

Of course, the blogger I’m most excited to meet one of these days is Shayla, but I know I’ll have to wait a while.\u00a0 She’s gearing up to meet her first baby this fall, but one day, we’ll make it happen!\u00a0 I still need to figure out what town is halfway between Austin and Sioux Lookout.<\/p>\n
