Normally when I take outfit photos, the process is complicated.\u00a0 It involves the tripod, a remote control, lots of different poses, plus me running back and forth to adjust the camera as I go. Oh, and I’m usually dressed up and cinched in, posing for some imaginary or future event, with lots of red lipstick and powder to make my face look nice and bright.<\/p>\n

Just for fun, I thought it would be interesting to document a week’s worth of my everyday outfits with my phone’s camera.\u00a0 The stuff I wear to drop the boys off at school, take them to the park, or run errands.\u00a0 I started the project on a Friday recently, but forgot to take a picture the next day.\u00a0 Still, I kept going, and what follows are the the outfits I wore over the course of a regular week in my life.\u00a0 It’s nothing glamorous at all, and you’ll notice a pattern here, too.\u00a0 I took all of the pictures in the morning before heading out the door, and though it’s hard to tell, my hair is washed and styled, and I do have makeup on.\u00a0 This is me in real life.<\/p>\n

(Monday: In a top<\/a> by Garnet Hill. Mondays are reserved for catching up after the weekend, and maybe visiting a local park.)<\/p><\/div>\n

(Tuesday: In the same style shirt<\/a> as Monday, ready to do some heavy-lifting volunteer work while the boys are in school.)<\/p><\/div>\n

I realize that I need a full-length mirror, but I’ve made do without one all these years.\u00a0 While I do sometimes mix things up with skirts and dresses, especially in warmer weather, I am essentially a t-shirt and jeans girl.\u00a0 I like tops with a little bit of detail, and I favor simple jeans in a darker wash.\u00a0 I’m also excited that my hair finally appears to be growing out!<\/p>\n

So this is me in my regular uniform, without the bells and whistles, but smelling of delicious perfume.\u00a0 And now that I’ve shown you, I feel the need to do a full-blown photo shoot soon!<\/p>\n
